X-ray cassettes contain some non-biodegradable and environmentally hazardous materials that include rare earth phosphors, aluminum, stainless steel, and lead.  Improperly disposed cassettes end up in landfills and ultimately contaminate the aquifer, causing harm to the surrounding environment and wildlife.

The team at Rochester Cassette will disassemble your cassettes and send the components to the proper disposal facilities and scrap yard.

Shipping Instructions:

• Pack boxes to weigh less than 50 pounds each
  ~  One 14 x 17 inch cassette weighs approximately six pounds
• If shipping pallets - please shrink wrap them
• DO NOT send items that are contaminated with bodily fluids
  ~  the shipment will be refused
